Railway Accidents in Maharashtra: When the accident took place between Badnapur and Karmad railway stations in Nanded division, the migrant workers were sleeping on the railway tracks from Jalna to Bhusawal on the "Shramik Special" train to return to Madhya Pradesh. Expressing grief over the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Aurangabad, Maharashtra is deeply saddened by the loss of life due to the train accident. I have spoken to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and he is keeping a close watch on the situation. All necessary assistance is being provided. ”
“The loco pilot saw some people near the track. Southern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer C.H. Rakesh said the train tried to stop the train but could not slow down before the train got stuck on the tracks. ” He said an inquiry has been ordered under the Railway Safety Commissioner, SCR. One person was critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a government hospital. Three others who fell asleep off the rails died.
The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to send a team of officials to Aurangabad on a special flight to arrange the last rites of the laborers. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased and demanded an inquiry into the incident.
Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said there should be an impartial inquiry into the tragedy. He sought to know whether the Madhya Pradesh government had registered the workers and made any arrangements to bring them home.
Coronavirus (epidemic) Many migrant workers have returned to the streets since the nationwide lockdown began following the implementation of the epidemic, which is all over the country (or across continents).
