Lalbazar: ZEE5 brings Kolkata based crime thriller review

ZEE5 recently announced a new "edge-of-the-seat" crime thriller titled Lalbazar.

Set up in Kolkata, the ZEE5 Original will be based on the lives of police officers working in the home department of Lalbazar, Central Kolkata. The plot will do business under the City of Joy underbelly and will consist of ten episodes.

Kaushik Sen, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Sauraseni Maitra, Hrishita Bhatt and Gaurav Chakraborty will have important roles in Lalbazar.

The series marks Bhatt's second venture with ZEE5. She was also seen earlier in another ZEE5 original The Chargesheet - Innocent or Guilty. Directed by SaiTan Ghoshal, the crime-based web series promises to be an exciting ride that will show "Life Beyond Uniform".

The streaming platform will release the series in two languages ​​- Bengali and Hindi. The two-minute trailer released on YouTube featured an entertaining mapping of everything the web series has to offer. This creates a tense and horrifying atmosphere for the audience that includes a string of murders, making it something to look forward to.

Lalbazar will premiere on the Indian streaming platform on June 19, 2020.
